Terms of Service

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of pressure washing services provided by Waveblast, a trading name of GMT Solutions ABN 47 661 307 035 ("we", "us", or "our") operating on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. By engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland and the Commonwealth of Australia, including the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) contained in the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).

2. Services

We provide residential and commercial pressure washing services including but not limited to driveways, pathways, house exteriors, decks, patios, and other surfaces as agreed upon.

All services are subject to availability and our acceptance of your booking. We reserve the right to refuse service at our discretion.

3. Quotes and Pricing

Quotes are provided free of charge and are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated
Quoted prices are estimates based on information provided and may vary if actual conditions differ significantly
All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST unless otherwise stated
We reserve the right to adjust pricing if site conditions differ materially from those described during quotation
Additional charges may apply for difficult access, extensive preparation work, or services outside our standard scope

4. Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of services unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in writing
We accept cash, bank transfer, and major credit cards
For commercial jobs or large projects, a deposit of up to 50% may be required before commencement
Invoices not paid within 14 days of the due date may incur late payment fees and interest charges
Disputed amounts must be raised in writing within 7 days of invoice date

5. Booking and Cancellation

Client Cancellations:

Cancellations made more than 48 hours before scheduled service: no charge
Cancellations made 24-48 hours before service: 50% cancellation fee may apply
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before service: full service fee may be charged

Our Cancellations:

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule services due to weather conditions, equipment failure, or other circumstances beyond our control. No cancellation fees will apply, and alternative dates will be offered.

6. Access and Site Requirements

You must provide safe and reasonable access to the areas requiring service
You must provide access to an outdoor water tap and, if required, electricity
You are responsible for removing or securing valuable items, furniture, and decorative objects from work areas
You must disclose any known hazards, special conditions, or access restrictions prior to service
We reserve the right to postpone or cancel service if access or site conditions are unsafe

7. Liability and Insurance

We maintain public liability insurance and take all reasonable care in providing our services. However:

We are not liable for damage to surfaces that are already deteriorated, damaged, or in poor condition
We are not responsible for pre-existing defects, loose paint, deteriorated timber, or cracked surfaces
We are not liable for issues arising from inadequate or defective construction, materials, or previous repairs
We will not be held responsible for the disturbance of pests (including wasps, spiders, or rodents) during cleaning
We are not liable for any consequential loss or business interruption

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy conferred by the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law that cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified by agreement.

Where we are liable to you under the Australian Consumer Law or otherwise, our liability is limited (at our option) to re-supply of the services or payment of the cost of having the services supplied again, except where the Australian Consumer Law prohibits such limitation.

8. Consumer Guarantees

Under the Australian Consumer Law, consumer guarantees apply to our services. These guarantees include that:

Services will be provided with due care and skill
Services will be fit for the purpose for which they are commonly supplied
Services will be completed within a reasonable time (where no time is specified)

9. Satisfaction Guarantee

We stand behind our work with a 100% satisfaction guarantee:

If you are not satisfied with our work, you must notify us within 48 hours of service completion
We will inspect the work and, if warranted, return to rectify any issues at no additional cost
This guarantee applies only to workmanship and does not cover issues arising from property defects or client-caused damage

10. Environmental Compliance

We use eco-friendly, biodegradable cleaning products where possible and comply with Queensland environmental regulations regarding water usage and chemical discharge. We follow Gold Coast City Council guidelines for water conservation and stormwater protection.

11. Privacy

Your personal information is collected and handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details.

12. Dispute Resolution

If you have a complaint or dispute:

Contact us directly to discuss the issue. We will make every effort to resolve it promptly
If the matter cannot be resolved, you may seek assistance from the Queensland Office of Fair Trading
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Queensland courts

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on our website with the revision date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
